Charles L. Rutter - General Manager
Charles Rutter serves as the company's General Manager. He resides in Lawrence with his wife and three sons, where they are active in their community, school, and church. Mr. Rutter comes to the company after leaving one of the largest roofing companies in the State of Kansas. He is a graduate of the Washburn University School of Law, and received his undergraduate degree in Pre-Med/Life Sciences from Kansas State University in 1991. He is licensed attorney, and is admitted to practice law in all Kansas State courts and the United States Federal District Court.
Prior to Covenant, Mr. Rutter served as an Assistant Attorney General in the State's Attorney General Office, where he protected Kansas Consumers from unscrupulous business practices. Earlier in his career, Mr Rutter served as a State prosecutor in the District Attorney's Office in Wichita, Kansas, working in both the Appellate and Consumer Protection Divisions. He also spent time in private practice working at the national law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker, LLP and Case Moses Zimmerman & Wilson, P.A. He also worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C., as a Research and Policy Analyst for the Department of Defense, receiving a Secret Clearance.
